We check emails from 9am-5pm Mon-Thurs, and 9am-4pm on Fridays.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards including Visa, American Express, Discover, and Mastercard.

I haven’t received an email confirmation from my ticket order - what should I do?

Check your junk mail first of all in case it’s there waiting for you.

If it doesn’t seem to be there either, drop us an email on ticketing@leedsunionevents.com with the name you booked the ticket under and the event name and we’ll be able to help.

If you didn’t buy your ticket with us, please head back to your point of purchase’s support team!

I’ve accidentally deleted my tickets from my inbox - what should I do?

Don’t worry – it happens.

If you drop us an email at ticketing@leedsunionevents.com with the name you booked your ticket under and the event, we’ll be happy to help.

I can no longer attend an event can I get a refund?

Unfortunately we can’t refund any tickets unless the event is cancelled or postponed.
We’ve got more information on this available in our terms and conditions.

How do I get a refund if an event has been rescheduled and I can't make the new date?

If you ordered your ticket through us please contact ticketing@leedsunionevents.com.
Didn’t buy with us? Head back to your point of purchase and their support team will be happy to help.

The gig is sold out. Will more tickets be available?

If the gig is marked as sold out it is unlikely that there will be more tickets available.
You can join the waitlist on the event page and keep an eye out on our social channels to be notified if any further tickets get released.

Are there any bars in the Union?

There sure are. We have two bars called Terrace and Old Bar. So whether you want to grab some grub, a pint, or sit out in the sun. We’ve got you covered.

Where is your Box Office located?

You’ll find us directly outside of the venue space.
Our Box Office opens 15 minutes before the event is due to start.

Can I buy a ticket at the Box Office?

If the event isn’t sold out then we’ll sell tickets on the door. Give us a call to double check and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Where is the closest drop-off location point?

The closest location for drop-off and collections is the corner of Lifton Place & Cromer Terrace.

How do I get to Leeds University Union?

Our venues are located inside Leeds University Union, which is situated on the precinct of the University of Leeds. Our address is: Leeds University Union, University Square, Leeds, LS2 9JZ. You can find the entrance to our venue using what3word’s, we are located under leaned.foam.drive.

Is the building access friendly?

It sure is. Our venues have lift access to all floors and facilities for customers with accessible needs. We work hard with Attitude Is Everything to continually improve access for all our customers.

Is there any parking at Leeds University Union?

Parking is very limited close to the Union building and is on-street only. However, provision is available close to the Union entrance – between 10 and 40 metres, for up to six blue-badge holders. The other parking options on campus are either ‘The Edge’ car park or the UOL multi-story opposite. Additional spaces are also provided off-campus at the Woodhouse Lane Multi-storey.

Are there any age restrictions to the events?

Most of our live gigs require under 14s to be accompanied by an adult. Please check the individual event pages for specific show age restrictions. We reserve the right to check ID and refuse entry to anyone found to be under age.

I lost some property at the Union, where can I check to see if it’s been handed in?

You can contact our Help & Support at helpandsupport@luu.leeds.ac.uk or call 0113 3801 400 and they’ll be happy to help.

I'd like to enquire about hiring one of the venues, how do I do this?

We’re delighted you want to host your event at LUU.

Where do I find the set times for the gig I'm attending?

We don’t receive the set times until the day of the gig.

Keep an eye out on our social channels and we’ll usually post them there when we get them.

Is there seating at the venue?

Unless stated otherwise, all of our venues are standing venues.

Is there a cash point in the building?

There sure is! There are several ATM’s available inside LUU however they do impose a small fee.

Is there anywhere I can leave my bike?

Sure, there are several bike racks dotted all around campus. There are some directly outside of the LUU building, so you couldn’t be closer.

Can I leave the venue between band sets?

Sorry but we don’t allow re-entry into our venue.

Once you leave you will not be allowed to re-enter. But don’t worry we’ve got everything you’d need in there, a smoking area, bars and plenty of toilets.

Is there a cloakroom?

If the event is in Stylus, we have a cloakroom just outside the venue doors. We charge around £3 per item. We will always try and make sure there is a cloakroom at our other venues.

Prohibited Items

Items such as sharp items, drugs or drug paraphernalia, fireworks, weapons, aerosols, glass bottles, flags and banners, flammable liquids, or toxic and corrosive chemicals, are prohibited.

If found on your person, may be confiscated, resulting in refusal of your entry, and you will be escorted out of the building.

Outside food & drink is not permitted in the venue. If you require your own food or drink for medical reasons, please email access@leedsunionevents.com to arrange.

What’s your bag policy?

Security measures are in place with bag checks on arrival.

Only one small bag per person is permitted, and it must not be bigger than A4 size.

Height: 29.7cm

Width: 21cm

Depth: 15cm

Large bags – including rucksacks – are not allowed, so please make alternative arrangements.

There are no facilities to leave large bags or luggage.

How do I book a seated or wheelchair space?

Can I bring my assistance dog?

Yes you can! We can even supervise them on request. Send us an email to access@leedsunionevents.com to book this in.

Do I pay with cash/card/contactless?

Our bars no longer accept cash, so it’s contactless or card payments only for bars and cloakrooms please. You can still buy merchandise with cash or card.

Do children need ear defenders / do you supply ear plugs?

Any young children or adults should speak to a staff member or ask for the Duty Manager ahead of the show. Anyone bringing children should be responsible for protecting their ears – staff will happily provide ear plugs on request.

Can I bring my camera?

We allow camera in our venues for personal use and do not allow professional equipment such as cameras with a detachable lenses.
